- Will extensions damage my hair?
- In any and all extension work, there is a possibility of slight damage. You need to remember that you are attaching something foreign to your hair and that excessive tension from things like improper brushing/styling may cause damage. Each method has its own varying degree of potential damage depending on your hair type. Many of my clients wear hair extensions while growing their hair out and I take pride in using the safest methods on the market. Booking a consultation to discuss which methods will be best for you should be the next step if you are interested in having hair extensions. I have personally been wearing some form of them at leasts 6-8 months out of the year for about 9 years. When I started with extensions, I grew my hair out from an almost pixie cut to about my waist wearing hair extensions the whole time! At this point, I don't need them, but what girl doesn't love a little oomph or some fun color! I'll probably always have some type in for fun.
- Will I be able to wear my hair up while having extensions in?
- That depends on your original hair length and the method of extensions that you are wearing. You would always be able to wear your hair back and low no matter what the original length or method. If you are looking to be able to wear a ponytail toward the middle of your head or a traditional up do, the length of the natural hair in the nape would need to be grazing the shoulder. If it is shorter then this you may be able to conceal your shorter hair with pins or a scarf.
- How long will my Extensions last?
- No method of hair extension should be left on the hair for longer than 3 months or 11/2 inches of outgrowth . After this time they need to be removed or moved back to their original position. Most extension methods that I use allow the original extension hair to be used again. Although the extensions can physically stay attached for longer, extensions left on the hair for longer than 3 months or 11/2 inches worth of outgrowth lack proper support at the scalp and run the risk of causing major damage to the hair.
- My hair is thin/fine, can i get extensions?

- How much do hair extensions cost?
- Hair extension prices vary greatly depending on many factors such as method, natural hair length and density, and your desired final look. Please setup a consultation for an exact price quote.
- Can I exercise with my extensions in?
- Yes, although special care instructions will need to be followed.
- Can I swim with my extensions?
- Yes, but special care will be needed before, during, and afterwards.
- Will I need to shave my head after having natural dreadlocks?
- No. Many people (mostly men) will shave their heads to remove their natural dreadlocks, but this is not necessary. Because the natural dreads take about 6-9 months to fully harden, 3-4 inches of natural hair can usually be combed out and cut into a shorter style.
- Will I be able to wash my hair?
- Yes! I recommend washing your dreads 1-3 times a week. Over washing can lead to dreads breaking apart, especially if they are new, so more is not always better.
- Will I need to wear mascara?
- NO. If you generally wear heavy make-up, you may want to add some mascara to the tips of the extensions, but if you usually go for a natural to moderately natural look, no mascara will be necessary.
- Can I swim with these on?
- Absolutely and I recommend it. Your eyes will never look better coming out of the water.
